It was a tough call with so many amazing recipes submitted (and prepared… and tasted… and coveted…), but there can be only two – our local winner and the Grand Prize winner!
We here at your local Ventura store were SO impressed by everyone’s entry that it was hard to choose a winner, but in the end the panel chose Janet LaPlante’s Olive Oil Cake! It was a moist treat and, when served alongside mixed berries marinated in Chaparral’s Star Anise & Vanilla Balsamic, it was divine!
