Our Neighborhood
Here, owner Ervin Galvan shares his favorite things about the city he calls home.
Pasadena is an excellent home for We Olive because our values directly reflect what this city is all about. We focus on being involved in the community, providing a comfortable and educational atmosphere for shoppers, and an experience that is unique and exciting. Pasadena hosts many community events, prides itself on its historic architecture, and exudes a unique charm that entrances those who visit.
The perfect day in Pasadena…
A perfect day in Pasadena begins with coffee and breakfast at Copa Vida. After that, getting lost in Old Pasadena is definitely a must. The hidden shops nestled within discrete alleys make you feel as if you have been transported to another time. Homage is one of our favorite shops for unique and whimsical gifts in Pasadena. Wandering around the city is tiring and lunch at We Olive would be a perfect interlude to the perfect Pasadena day. A nice glass of wine and cheese plate are perfect for an afternoon break. After lunch, there are plenty of museums to visit such as the Norton Simon or the Armory Center for the Arts. After museum touring and dinner, a show at the Pasadena Playhouse would end my perfect day in Pasadena.
Favorite eats and drinks in addition to We Olive…
My favorite places to eat in the area are Osawa Japanese Restaurant – their dinner bento box is phenomenal!
The Arbour One of locals favorite restaurants in Pasadena and for very good reason.
Bone Kettle Delicious 24 hour bone broth with tasty asian inspired dishes.
Café Santorini’s grilled octopus appetizer is a must try on their beautiful outdoor patio.
King’s Row Gastropub has some of the best cocktails in Pasadena. Their Moscow Mule is awesome and the seasonal cocktail is always a must-try.
Must-see attractions…
Don’t miss the Rose Bowl, Pasadena Playhouse, and the Norton Simon Museum.
