Made with organic Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the San Joaquin Valley and organic Meyer lemons, this proprietary oil, which is also certified kosher, can only be found at We Olive!
Tasting Notes We Olive’s lemon infused olive oil is one of our bestsellers for good reason – it’s zesty and bright on the front of the palate, with a mildly pungent finish from the Arbequina olive oil. Its lovely floral and citrus notes make it perfect for both sweet and savory dishes.
About Meyer Lemons Meyer lemons, which are thought to be a cross between a lemon and a mandarin orange, are known for their floral aroma. They are less tart than regular lemons and their subtle sweetness makes them delicious to peel and eat!
Veggies
Our lemon olive oil has never met a green vegetable it didn’t like. Whether you steam, roast or sauté, the clean lemon flavor makes eating your veggies a treat. Our personal favorites are asparagus, artichokes, peas, fava beans and chard.
Salads
Whether you’re dressing crunchy Romaine, peppery arugula or earthy spinach, lemon olive oil is a natural partner for leafy greens. It makes a delicious vinaigrette when paired with any of our artisan vinegars. When making a vinaigrette with our Aged Balsamic Vinegar or our sweeter White Balsamic Vinegars, use equal parts oil and vinegar. If you’re using something with higher acidity, like our Pomegranate or Red Raspberry Champagne Vinegars, try a ratio of 1 part vinegar to 3 or 4 parts olive oil. Seafood & Chicken
That ubiquitous lemon wedge is served with seafood for a reason. Try marinating fish or shrimp in Lemon Olive Oil with fresh herbs and a little salt and pepper, then grill, bake, roast or saute for a delicious dish. Our favorites salmon, shrimp and any delicate white fish like cod or halibut. It’s also delicious with chicken, whether it’s used to marinate boneless skinless chicken breasts and thighs or brushed on a whole chicken for a roast chicken with crispy skin.
Sauces & Pestos
Try our Meyer Lemon Olive Oil in your favorite pesto recipe. Mix it with chopped fresh herbs, parmesan cheese and cracked pepper to dress veggies and pasta. For a tasty sandwich spread or quick pasta sauce, combine 2 tablespoons Lemon Olive Oil with a 4 oz. log of goat cheese and a 12 oz. jar of drained roasted red peppers in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until well combined and enjoy!
