Braised Brussels Sprouts


This Discover Cooking with California Olive Oil Recipe Contest submission comes from Pam Boehret of We Olive Ventura. Pam says:

“Braised brussels sprouts are delicious with the lemon olive oil. They are excellent with chicken. This is a very simple dish.”

Serves 4


Cut off the ends of the Brussels sprouts and pull off any yellow outer leaves. Also, cut in half if the brussel sprouts are large. Place them in a cast iron casserole with the rest of ingredients and place in the 325 degree oven for 45 minutes. Add additional oil or broth if needed during the cooking.
