Spiced Balsamic Candied Nuts


These balsamic glazed nuts make a fantastic edible gift for your favorite party host!

2 cup raw mixed nuts
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup Mulled Spice Balsamic Vinegar*
1 teaspoon salt

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the nuts, brown sugar, vinegar and salt in a heavy sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until there is no liquid left and the sugar has dissolved, 10 – 15 minutes. Pour the nuts onto the prepared pan and quickly use a spatula to separate into one layer. Cool completely before eating.

*This recipe works well with any sweet and tangy balsamic vinegar, such as We Olive Aged, Fig or Blackberry Balsamic. For a spicy kick, try adding 1/4 teaspoon cayenne or chipotle chili powder.
