She not only gives you the scoop on all the health benefits of using top quality extra virgin olive oil, but she has a whole host of beauty tips using EVOO. According to Grufferman, the best olive oil to use is extra virgin (of course) because it contains oleocanthal, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Olive oils with a high level of oleocanthal will have a peppery bite and may even make you cough. For that reason, our Tuscan Varietal Blend, which is one of my favorite robust olive oils, will now be found in my medicine chest and makeup bag in addition to my pantry.
