About the Store
We Olive Belmont Shore opened it’s doors January 3, 2009. We take great pride in offering products that adhere to rigorous standards and support our local farmers. We have strong relationships with the growers and craftsmen we represent in our store. From buttery to grassy to fruity to robust, we provide a free detailed olive oil tasting customized to specific needs and cooking concerns. We seek not only to educate our customers, but to expand their palate.
Upon entering our store you will be enticed by the delectable product selection. There is a vast array of oils and vinegars with pieces of bread on the bar just waiting to be dipped. We will guide you through an olive oil tasting, teaching you about the different flavors and nuances of the oil. Being foodies ourselves, we love to exchange cooking ideas and recipes. We offer samples of other gastronomic delights We Olive has to offer, from aged balsamic and tapenade to pesto, mustards and more. We also allow our customers to slather on some luxurious olive oil body butter or to partake in aromatic lavender bath products.
About the area: Belmont Shore, known by locals as “the shore”, is located in Long Beach, on Second Street and is known for it’s fabulous restaurants and shopping. Just minutes from downtown Long Beach and the convention center, it’s mall free shopping is the perfect place to soak up the sun, get a bite to eat and see where the locals hang out.
About the owners: Debby and Phil Brooks first date was right here in Belmont Shore. It didn’t take them long to fall in love with each other and recognize their love of food.One of their favorite date nights was to cook for each other. It was on a trip up to Debby’s parents new home in Paso Robles they stumbled on We Olive. After their first taste of the Balsamic they had another new love in their life. Walking out with Aged Balsamic and Olive Oil bottles, they would return when ever visiting Deb’s parents to fill up on their prized ingredients.It was months later they discovered We Olive was franchising. It was the perfect fit as Deb and Phil were searching for the right business to start together. In August 2008, Debby and Phil became a part of the We Olive family and opened their store on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore on January 3, 2009.
On October 3, 2009 Debby and Phil married and now own and operate the store as husband and wife. You can find them most days behind the bar, offering complimentary tastings, and sharing their love of food with their customers

We Olive Wednesdays – 03/4/13
Join us every Wednesday from 7pm-8:30pm for an interactive class featuring our most popular products. Each class will be a hands on experience and guests will leave that night with their very own creation. Complementary wine will be served for guests 21 years or older. Reservations are required. 562-433-8000 Cost is $25.00

March 13: Baking with Olive Oil:Another great class for the enitre family. Learn how easy and healthy it is to bake with olive oil and take home cookie dough created in the class
March 20: Homemade Pasta and Pestos: Learn how to make homemade pastas and pestos and take some home for a
delicious meal. One of our most popular class so make your reservations early!.
March 27: We Olive Dinner featuring Fennel: We “olive” fennel and decided to bring back a class featuring this wonderfully delicious spring seasonal vegetable. A more demonstration class, taste all the tasty dishes Chef Gregg and Monica create for you.
April 3: We Olive Pizza Party: A hands on class fun for the entire family. Learn how to make your own flatbreadss/pizza dough and build your own pizzas using some of your favorite We Olive products.
April 10: Homemade Pasta and Pestos: Learn how to make homemade pastas and pestos and take some home for a delicious meal. One of our most popular class so make your reservations early!.
April 17: Salad Dressings: Learn how to createsalad dressings and pair different olive oils, vinegars and herbs. Take home a salad dressing that you made in class.
April 24: We Olive Spring Dinner: A class inspired by what’s in season paired with some of your favorite We Olive products. This class is more of a demonstration class,, you will get to enjoy all the tasty dishes created for you by Chef Gregg and Monica.
