Happy New Year Fellow Olive Oil Lovers - 01/29/2013

The holiday season has wrapped up, and while we hope everyone enjoyed themselves, the new year brings focused thoughts of taking better care of ourselves in 2013.

What better way to help this challenge than to include fresh We Olive Olive Oil, one of the most delicious foods out there is also one the best for you! Including more olive oil in your diet can not only help cut down the fat and calorie content of your dishes, but it helps to promote a healthy heart. As we move into 2013, we would love to share a few healthy tips , including the best ways to take advantage of the many health benefits of olive oil.

Olive Oil has many health benefits, and more are being discovered every day. According to The Olive Oil Times, one prominent cardiologist recommends at least two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil each day, in order to maximize the benefits of this liquid gold. In addition to boosting the immune system and helping to protect against viruses, olive oil has also been found to be effective in fighting against diseases such as:
• Decreased risk of certain types of cancer
• Lowering Blood Cholesterol
• Decrease in Blood Sugar
• Helping to Fight Diabetes
• Fighting Against Obesity
• Reduced risk of Arthritis, Stroke, Osteoporosis and more

This year try giving your vegetables a quick cook in a frying pan drizzled with Arbequina and dried herbs, or better yet a drizzle of Lemon or Basil Olive Oil. They will taste great and remain firm, full of flavor and healthy. Another idea is to give up ready-made store salad dressings. Try 3 parts We Olive Olive Oil and 1 to 2 parts Balsamic, with just a dash of salt and pepper, whisked together. Your salads will sing with fresh flavor.

We proudly sample daily other products in our store, such as our We Olive marinated olives, stuffed olives, mustards, tapenades, marinades, grilling sauces, honey cremes and dipping oils.

We are offer customs gift baskets for any occassion. Our Sample Sets make great thank you gifts or wedding favors. You can choose from our 2oz bottle sets, 5 oz bottle sets or our larger We Olive bottles which fit wonderfully in our new We Olive Logo boxes. Great for shipping!

Schedule an after-hours Private Tasting Party. We will take you and your guests through a prepared selection of California Extra Virgin Board Certified Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars. Appetizers and Beverage provided, $15 per person. A minimum of 8, and we can accomodate up to 34.
