Turkey & wine pairing – Classic roasted turkey has a variety of herbs used in seasoning and basting. Chardonnay brings out the best flavors of the turkey and make a classic pairing.  We have three on our wine list:

Sisters Forever Chardonnay – no oak with adorable label perfect for family gathering
True Myth Chardonnay – classic oaky California Chardonnay equally beautiful label
Dutton-Goldfield Chardonnay – higher end and highly rated with a beautiful creaminess

Ham & wine pairing – Baked or smoked ham brings in smoky and earthy flavors that pair with Pinot Noir. If you are wanting to balance that saltiness of the ham, a Riesling will provide a touch of sweetness (think sweet and salty combo), but it the acidity of the Riesling also cuts the fat in the ham. Pinot Noir or Riesling will have make the flavorful ham the star of the meal.  We have three Pinot Noirs and the perfect Riesling on our wine list:

Cuvee Lucstre Pinot Noir – fruity, well structured with a subtle baking spice note perfect for this festive fall meal
Sounds of Silence Pinot Noir – an earthy wine with ample fruit notes just like cranberry sauce
Brave Pinot Noir – silky with herb notes that also pair with cornbread dressing
Dr. Konstantin Frank ‘Semi-Dry’ – balance the saltiness of the ham effortlessly with an award winning winery’s slightly sweet wine

All around Thanksgiving & wine pairing – The fruity and tartness of cranberry sauce is a staple at Thanksgiving meals for a reason, it pairs well with all the warm fall dishes and bring out all the fall flavors.  You can accomplish the same by pairing Pinot Noir with all of your Thanksgiving dishes.  If we had to choose one overall perfect pairing, it would be a Pinot Noir. Second to that would be a sparkling rosé. It’s perfect bubbly for celebrating life, family, and friends. But it also accentuates the sweet and savory flavors a thanksgiving meal presents and doesn’t over power the food at all.

Cuvee Lucstre Pinot Noir – fruity, well structured with a subtle baking spice note perfect for this festive fall meal
Sounds of Silence Pinot Noir – an earthy wine with ample fruit notes just like cranberry sauce
Brave Pinot Noir – an earthy wine with ample fruit notes just like cranberry sauce
Pinot Pop Sparkling Rosé –
two favorite thanksgiving pairing varietals in one beautiful wine, it is made with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. A wine worthy of such a celebratory meal as Thanksgiving!

Family & wine pairing – We all have those family members that you want to give a subtle hint to that you’ve had enough.  We love them all the same, but goodness, just let it rest for the family gatherings.  Well, we think a little tongue in cheek wine pairing is fitting for this time of family Thanksgiving wine pairing. It’s a lovely fruit forward Grenache red wine that is a little grippy like that bossy family member and a little fruity to pair with Thanksgiving meal. We also threw in a few fun wines from above if you are lucky enough to have a sweet family to share Thanksgiving with!

Sisters Forever Chardonnay – pair with the best sisters ever or remember those sisters no longer at the table with us
Sounds of Silence Pinot Noir – this wine pairs with the feeling of the house AFTER all the hustle and bustle from activity getting things ready…. ah silence!
Brave Pinot Noir – this wine is for anyone brave enough to host Thanksgiving in their home
Bitch Grenache –
the tongue in cheek wine for those toxic family members or for those just want to take an ugly word to have a little fun in life and make it as beautiful as the wine in the bottle
Hoopes Cabernet Sauvignon –
while not something we think is ideal with Thanksgiving meal, it’s really for those that like fancy Napa Cabs at EVERY meal. You will surely impress yourself and them with this one!
